Just in time for the Frankfurt Book Fair (10 to 14 October 2007), "enterprise" finished the "Shop on CD-ROM" for its customer Huethig Jehle Rehm, thus ensuring that anybody interested in the publishing group's products can now obtain information about them without having to use the internet.

Following intensive development work, the "Shop on CD-ROM" for the publishing group H:J:R has now been finished. The aim of the project was above all to enable the customer to gain access to the group's products without needing the internet.

Since the data base and the programming linked to it cannot simply be transferred to a CD, a special process was developed to modify and statically file the entire website. Hereby, it became possible to store the over 2,000 articles on 20,000 pages on a CD without a data base.

This is a method to handle a dynamic internet presence on a CD-ROM. Your customers can thus easily access your range of products and any information from your website, without logging into the net.

Another major advantage of this development, explains enterprise's Head of Development Rainer H. Schwandt, is that the publishing house itself can compile the CD-ROM and no service provider is needed.
